Women Owned Law to Hold First Symposium on Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Law

PHILADELPHIA (January 2020) – Women Owned Law, national nonprofit networking and advocacy group for women-owned law and legal services firms, will be hosting its inaugural WOL Symposium on Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Law on March 11, 2020 at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline Institute of Trial Advocacy in Philadelphia.
The day-long symposium will bring together up to 100 women entrepreneurs in the law. The programming will include insights from a wide range of women legal entrepreneurs, as well as business advisors and representatives from majority-owned law firms and corporations dedicated to promoting gender diversity in the law. The symposium will also feature networking opportunities, including speed networking roundtables. Women Owned Law will also give out awards for Woman Legal Entrepreneur of the Year and Champion of the Year.
The keynote presentation will be by Carolyn Elefant, founder of MyShingle.com. She will speak on The Transformative Power of Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Legal Profession; Why Women Owning the Conference Room Matters More than Just a Seat at the Table. The plenary sessions include: Tips from the Trenches, Innovation in the Law, Best Practices for Partnering with Corporations and Big Law, and Scaling Women Owned Firms in the Law.
