Philadelphia Table Talk

"Ask the Employment Attorney"

Join us for a lively and interactive session where you can ask employment questions you might encounter as you manage and grow your practices.  These may include questions regarding wage and hour obligations, hiring and firing employees, differences between employees and independent contractors, and avoiding liability as an employer.  This is a Philadelphia event and will be geared towards federal, and Pennsylvania state and local law.  However, much of the content will be applicable to members throughout the country, and everyone is invited to attend.  We look forward to connecting with everyone virtually.

About the Speakers:

She defends employers nationally in federal and state court litigation involving all major employment statutes, represents them in related government investigations, and counsels them proactively on compliance with these statutes. Ms. Kirshenbaum focuses a significant portion of her practice on wage and hour related compliance and litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state laws governing wages and pay practices. She also defends clients in complex class action litigation involving a variety of federal and state statutes as well as claims under common law. Ms. Kirshenbaum has broad industry experience, with clients in the construction, commercial real estate, energy and utilities, financial services, health care, hospitality and retail, information technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and professional services industries, among others.

Mandy C. Rosenblum, who practices through her self-named firm, has focused her entire career on the relationship between employers and employees. She has had a lifelong fascination with what motivates individuals and uses her understanding of human behavior to minimize conflict and promote positive outcomes.  Mandy handles a full range of employment matters and brings her clients practical knowledge, attributable to years working in human resources as well as the expertise that comes from nearly 25 years serving as private counsel.  While her clients come from a variety of industries, Ms. Rosenblum devotes much of her practice to representing health care providers.  Ms. Rosenblum is a founding board member and Treasurer of Women Owned Law.
